We just got the word that our first shipment of Lowers ‘Take A Hike’ Summer 08/09 range is dropping this weekend!! This range is by far the best to date and we pretty much went crazy on tees for all you guys out there that are into the whole ’90’s American hiker’ vibe and then some solid prints for those that aren’t. Our first delivery of Creative Rec landed yesterday and we are super excited. We have two models in the Cesario, one for the boys and one for the girls with more set to land september. A little history lesson for those that are new to the brand - Creative Recreation was launched in 2002 in order to fill a void in the footwear market. Up until this time, no one was offering footwear to young professionals with style. The three founders set out to innovate the market and were able to incorporate the comfort of an athletic shoe with the materialization of a dress shoe to create the ultimate crossbreed resulting in the Creative Recreation shoe collection. Aren’t they clever!!
To commemorate the cinema release of Hellbot II: The Golden Army, helmed by Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth) and based on the Dark Horse comic by Mike Mignola, the clever kids at Adidas Originals have teamed up with origin based publisher as well as Universal Studio’s and released a couple of kicks in its honour. We have been lucky enough to get our greedy little hands on a few pairs of the Forum Mid. With Hellboy lettering emblazoned across the Velcro strap, an image of Ron Perlman as the titular demonic anti-hero on the outsole and all packaged up in some super serious custom tissue and boxes. The movie buffs dream shoe.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 576 model, New Balance have released a limited collection inspired by the Chinese Opera. All 4 feature traditional Chinese artwork. We got our greedy mitts on the best of the pack, a true LE with intricate patterns and features on the shoe as well as having a ying yang design (ie. different colours on each foot) This model was limited to 576 pairs worldwide with 18 travelling to our part of the world. Reebok Freestyle’s were originally introduced in 1982 and designed for aerobic exercise. They quickly surged Reebok into the mainstream athletic wear market and fashion scene along with becoming one of the most popular athletic shoes of all time. In 1984, the shoe accounted for more than half of Reebok’s sales. As a result, the Freestyle became a 1980s fashion icon. Actress Cybill Shepard wore a bright orange pair, with a black strapless gown, at the 1985 Emmy Awards. Some women would own more than one color of Freestyles allowing some to wear two different colored shoes like white and black or red and yellow. Just in exclusively at both stores is Reigning Champ - the in-house brand of the Canadian factory CYC Design Canada that are responsible for producing the sweaters for the worlds best streetwear labels Supreme, Alife and aNYthing, just to name a few. Now they have produced their own brand and the name couldn’t be more fitting because these are without doubt the reigning champs of the sweatergame. The sweaters are made of thick, heavy, high quality fabrics and are presenting in classic colours and baseball inspired pinstripes and available in slim narrow or regular fits. The latest collab to come out of Vans is the Niagara Skate Hi and Classic Slip on, for those who are new to Niagara, she is a painter/provocateur who fronted the punk band Destroy all Monsters. The skate high resembles her usual portrayal of Women - tough, sexy and bad to the bone, while the classic slip on is more romantic but features the slogan “I’m not your bitch” across the front.
