We have just picked up a new brand for the girls, MOTEL. Hailing from the UK this is the latest brand to hit our store and judging by all the girls reactions when we opened the box this morning IT WILL NOT LAST LONG! Motel was born after the two designers went on a trip to the west coast of America and spent days rifling through the thrift stores in the 90’s. After coming home, they wanted to create a label that held the same excitement of those ideal days of rummaging. So they created Motel, influenced by vintage but with a modern twist. On September 18th 1978 all 4 members of iconic rock band Kiss released their solo albums and Vans launched the iconic sk8 high. Now 30 years later they come together to celebrate both anniversaries in the best possible way – The Vans x Kiss Sk8 Hi. The release of those 4 albums was the first and only time that a band has released solo albums on the same day.
